The Bulava is about the same as the Trident II, and there's no real info on he Trident III. The Bulava performs better if there is ABM defenses, but Russia only has ABM defenses around 1 city, and there are British and French SLBMs that outperform Russia's at ABM penetration.

Also Hypersonic missiles have been around for several decades, they are just better known as intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs). Technically, all ballistic missiles with a range longer than a few hundred kilometers are hypersonic since they can fly faster than Mach 5. Fuck, even the V2 reached in it 1944.
ICBMs go much faster than those missiles shot down by the patriots.
